Game developers in Malaysia, it's that time once again to gather and "level up" your skills with other like minded people! LEVEL UP KL 2018, Southeast Asia's premier industry event for game developers, is coming at the end of this month!

LEVEL UP KL 2018 is set to happen from 27-31 October 2018 at Connexion Convention Centre & Exhibition Centre (CECC) Bangsar South with the objective of bringing together both local and international players to the regional game development scene in Southeast Asia.

The theme at this year's LEVEL UP KL 2018 is Beyond Entertainment, where it aims to focus on the core ideas that not only is the video game industry revolutionising entertainment, but it is also playing a role in driving efficiency, innovation and disrupting other sectors of the economy.

The media briefing was held at BATTLE ARENA MALAYSIA where Mohan Low from MDEC, Wan Hazmer from METRONOMIK and Jeremy Choo from Ammobox Studios were there to introduce the event and share their experiences on the growing gaming industry in Malaysia. They shared their hopes and expectations that the conference would see more game developers "level up" not just for the gaming industry, but even for the entertainment industry as a whole.

The conference has arranged about 60 speakers both from Malaysia and international to share their experience and industry insights. With that in mind, the conference has structured 10 programmes:

  1. Southeast Asia Game Jam
  2. Global Top Round
  3. Masterclass Workshops
  4. Unity @ KL
  5. Business Connection Programme
  6. LEVEL UP KL 2018 Conference
  7. LEVEL UP KL 2018 Exhibition & Southeast Asia showcase
