Looking Back At The OMEN by HP Laptop Series

By Dale Bashir on Aug 22, 2018

Gaming laptops are a modern day necessity for the gamers of today. With games like Fortnite and PUBG being the most popular games around, a gamer without a good device to play would be missing out. To meet this demand, a number of gaming laptops have been released and one that stood out to us was released last year; the OMEN 15. To coincide with the launch of the brand new OMEN by HP laptop series next week on 27 August 2018, let’s look back at the aforementioned model.

Released in the second half of 2017, it was an affordable option for the gamer at heart, and a pretty adequate one as well. It’s backed by the NVidia GeForce 1060 GPU and an Intel i7 processor, making this laptop pack quite a punch right out of the box. It has an amazing FHD display that made it one of the cheapest laptops with such an ability. Along with a 16 GB RAM, the OMEN by HP really is a bang for your buck.

Not to mention how stylish it looked, utilising a black and red colour scheme paired with the fighter jet/spaceship-like design evoked a futuristic feel to the whole laptop. There was even a cool X-motif on the front of the laptop, with the left and right sides of the X being casted in a ridged plastic texture, while the top and bottom parts of the X has a smooth clean carbon fibre. The etched OMEN by HP insignia is just the cherry on top of this great looking machine.

With all of this power under the hood, any Triple-A game can be played on the OMEN 15. Whether it’s something graphics heavy like the Gears Of War games, or even something colourful like League of Legends, the OMEN by HP is up to the task to give you the best looking display. The laptop is also VR ready, which is unheard of in this range of laptops.

All in all, the OMEN by HP was a great machine, the perfect laptop for the on-the-go gamer. Stay tuned as we keep an eye out on any information on the brand-new 2018 OMEN by HP laptop series. Keep up with Gamehubs on Facebook and Twitter to be up to date on all things gaming.
