Without a doubt, many anime lovers would agree that Slam Dunk is the most popular sports anime and manga of all time. This time around, your favourite characters from Slam Dunk is coming alive on the mobile platform.
Developed by Japanese studio DeNA, Slam Dunk Mobile was first announced in early July this year and the studio finally revealed the gameplay video to the public during ChinaJoy 2018. You can watch the gameplay video below:
Slam Dunk Mobile will allow players to form a team comprising of fan-favourite characters like Hanamichi Sakuragi, Kaede Rukawa, Hisashi Mitsui and more characters in “chibi” style. You can unlock other characters from various schools through “gacha” form or loot boxes.
The gameplay trailer displays three distinctive modes such as 3 v 3 half court, 3 vs 3 full court and 5 vs 5 full court. The mobile game also features a real-time gameplay with manual controls and it looks like there is no auto mode visible on screen.
So far, there is no official release date for a worldwide release of Slam Dunk Mobile but it is likely that the game will be released in China first in 2018.
