Rage 2 Gameplay Trailer Displays First-Hand Destruction and Catastrophe

Bethesda has been really busy with Rage 2 announcements after the company teased us on social media for days on end!

From id Software in association with Avalanche Studios, Rage 2 is a sequel based on the original 2011’s Rage. To keep in line with the post-apocalyptic settings of the original game, you will play as the protagonist, Walker, who is the only Ranger left in the barren wasteland filled with bloodthirsty gangs and the Authority who seek to rule the badlands.

After the Authority robs you of your own home and leaves you to die, you set yourself on a revenge quest to take down the Authority with whatever means necessary that includes using enhanced weapons and special powers like Nanotrite and Overdrive to vanquish the tyrannical rule once and for all.

The gameplay trailer of Rage 2 shows divisive factions made up of madmen, monsters and mutants, living in various environments such as deep jungles and open-wide deserts where society, law and order have diminished.

Of course, Rage 2 is not complete without the ability to use various upgraded guns and explosive mayhem as well as maneuvering customised robots and monster trucks.

With the collaboration of two major studios that popularised the first-person shooter concept with Doom and the master of open world shooter exploration with the Just Cause series, I consider this is an example of a perfect marriage and with (hopefully) a perfect love-child named Rage 2, an exhilarating fast-paced action shooter with detailed open world experience.

Bethesda said that Rage 2 will be a main feature of the publisher’s E3 2018 conference. Rage 2 is slated to launch sometime in 2019 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
