Rage 2 Is Legit, With Just Cause Developer On Board

Whether you saw it coming or not, Rage 2 has finally been officially announced by Bethesda. Prior to the announcement, the company had some serious fun by posting a series of vague pinkish images in their official social media sites which sparked intense discussions among gamers.

The announcement trailer is also filled with vibrant colours, flashy outfits and loud, fast rock music playing in the background. Without giving much to the plot, the sequel is shaping up to a unique fusion of the Borderlands series and the recent Mad Max film. Here’s the teaser trailer of Rage 2:

According to the Bethesda’s devoted Rage 2 page, we’ve discovered that Rage 2 will be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One and they have revealed the box art cover. The publisher had also given some insight as to the gameplay of Rage 2: “Dive headfirst into a dystopian world devoid of society, law, and order. RAGE 2 brings together a true open world FPS experience where you can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything.

The developer of original Rage, iD Software of Doom and Wolfenstein 3D fame, is back to develop the sequel of the post-apocalyptic first-person shooter and is also working together with Avalanche Studios, notable for the outrageous Just Cause series and the movie-inspired game Mad Max.

The tweet from the game’s official Twitter page confirmed the collaboration with another joke jabbed at the recent Walmart Canada leak.

The release date for Rage 2 hasn’t been announced yet but just in case if you can’t wait to see more of the over-the-top shooter sequel, Bethesda will be releasing a gameplay video of Rage 2 soon.
