While basking in the limelight from their recent historical Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 win, one Mineski’s Dota 2 player, Daryl Koh "iceiceice" Pei Xiang, had already courted trouble by using a racial slur in one of his recent streams on 11th April 2018. According to TiltReport, “a teammate in-game had suggested that his son be named "Daryl Jr.", when iceiceice responded that he didn't even like his own name due to what appears to be racist reasons.”
Following that, Daryl went on and said, “Why would they (his parents) name a yellow kid Daryl?”
“I do have a Ching Chong name,” he added next, referring to his Chinese name, ‘Pei Xiang’.
Due to this, Twitch took swift action by making his Twitch channel ‘unavailable’.
Mineski Dota also issued an official statement on Facebook regarding the incident:
As of now, iceiceice’s Twitch channel still remained inaccessible.
