Crazy Taxi might look like a stupid game at first glance, but it’s silly enough to create special memories among gamers who enjoyed Sega’s open world racing game when it launched back in 1999. Although the game seemed lost in the good old days of arcades, the Dreamcast, and PlayStation 2, you can relive the fun or even try it out to know what’s the fuss is all about, as Crazy Taxi is now available for free on mobile devices.

The mobile app gives you full access to Crazy Taxi and all the modes it has to offer, but there’s a catch: you’ll have to deal with ads if you are not willing to spend. I personally tried the game and it was good enough for a quick arcade experience to distract you while you are commuting (public transportation, of course) or just waiting for a friend. With that said, if you are still not willing to watch the occasional ad or two, you can always shell out a mere $2 to get rid of them.

It’s a nice move from Sega to make this classic title free to play, especially when it can be easily accessed on mobile devices. Now we can finally introduce how good Crazy Taxi is to our younger siblings, or even our future sons and daughters if smartphones and tablets are still a thing in years to come. You can download Crazy Taxi on iOS and Android devices.
