WoW releases a good pet for a good cause

By Dale Bashir on Sep 13, 2017

In light of the recent natural disasters occurring around the world, World of Warcraft's new charity pet Shadow the Fox is here for a good cause. This is because for every Shadow the Fox is adopted, 100% of the $10 adoption fee will go to support disaster relief efforts for natural disasters such as the revent Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey. Blizzard's official statement:

For every Shadow fox adopted between now and December 31, 2017, 100% of the $10 USD adoption fee will be donated to both American Red Cross Disaster Relief and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Disaster Relief Fund

The adoption fees will be equally split and each half will go to the American Red Cross for the relief of disasters all over America and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Disaster Relief Fund that will help them in responding and acting quickly should a disaster arise.

Shadow the Fox is as cute as he is a symbol of hope to the world. He is the latest in Blizzard's line of annual Charity Pets. They have done Charity Pet drives before for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and also the Red Cross before. Usually, they would announce the Charity Pet of the year during the annual Blizzcon, but with the sudden appearances of hurricanes Irma and Harvey, immediate action had to be made to help support the relief of these natural disasters. Shadow the Fox is taking over for last year's undead kitten Mischief the Fel Kitty. He has Light and Dark fur, big fluffy ears and just an overall cool looking pet for any adventurer.

Get Shadow the Fox now through Battle.net or through Blizzard's website. Only from now until the 31st of December 2017 will every proceed from the adoption fee of this pet will go to the aforementioned disaster relief funds.
