The World Electronic Sports Game (WESG) sign-ups for the South East Asian region has begun!
WESG is an international eSports championship created by Alisports and has been running since 2016. They aspire to be an eSports championship centered on the Olympic standard: focusing on national pride, and encouraging fans to attend the matches. Players and teams are selected through local and regional competitions, and pitted against other professional gamers at the highest level.

While all the above titles have a General Group, CS:GO and Hearthstone will have separate Women’s Group and competitions. This Season comes with a prize pool of US$5,500,000 and sees deeper partnerships with massive game publishers: Blizzard, Super Evil Megacorp and Konami.
This year also sees AirAsia as the Official Airline Partner in Asean and title sponsor.
This 2018-2019 Season will cover 38 countries/regions compared to last Season’s 14. Online registration for Asean countries have already started and will end 31st July 2018. Interested gamers can register over here. The 10 member countries will run their own online tournaments followed by a LAN national finals between 1st August to 30th September, while the Asean Regional Grand Finals will be held in November and the International Grand Finals will be held March 2019.
