Top 5 Hottest Pink Rangers in the Galaxy

By Kin Boon on Mar 29, 2017

If you are a 90s kid, the term Power Rangers should be strongly etched in your mind, and it most probably has a profound effect on your childhood as you watched the numerous series that has spawned since Mighty Morphin came out in 1993. The red rangers will always be one of the recognizable icons of the series due to their leadership duties, but the same spotlight is also shared by the pink rangers, with Amy Jo Johnson’s portrayal of Kimberly setting the benchmark for future reiterations of the character.

On a personal note, pink rangers always leave a strong impression in my mind, or just because I easily associated the color pink with females as a child so no offense intended to yellow ranger fans. There were various versions of the character in the 24 seasons of Power Rangers, with some of them being a tad more attractive than the rest, so here are our top five hottest pink rangers in the galaxy.

5) Catherine Sunderland – Kat (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers Turbo)

If you need a worthy replacement for Amy Jo Johnson’s Kimberly as the Pink Ranger, then you have found one in Catherine Sunderland. Holding the record for having the most incarnations as a female Ranger, Kat made her debut in Mighty Morphin as Rita Repulsa’s underling, scheming to bring down the Rangers. She was then freed from her control, before donning the Pink Ranger suit as Kimberly’s replacement and reprising the roles in both Zeo and Turbo. Her Australian accent, blond hair, and shining personality made her stood out as a Ranger, and her incorporation of ballet into her fight scenes left a lasting impression in fans.

4) Melody Perkins – Astronema (Power Rangers In Space) / Karone (Power Rangers Lost Galaxy)

Continuing on with the theme of redemption, Melody Perkin’s tenure in the Power Rangers universe started off as a villain in In Space. Her dark armored suit and ever-changing hair color set her apart from Rita Repulsa, and she even had some funny lines that caught on with fans. Astronema was eventually rescued by the end of In Space, before replacing Lost Galaxy’s original Pink Ranger. Perkins remained a popular figure in the series, culminating with a cameo appearance as one of the past Rangers in Mega Force.

3) Christina Masterson – Emma Goodall (Power Rangers Megaforce, Power Rangers Super Megaforce)

Christina Masterson enters this list as one of the modern Rangers, and I’ve always felt that she is an underrated character. Goodall first got her powers when she was taking pictures in the wild, which sets the tone for her character as someone who is totally in tune with nature. She can also multitask well, as shown in the scene where she took down the minions without morphing into Ranger mode, while snapping away with her camera. Coupled with her positive attitude and easy-going personality, it’s hard not to like this Pink Ranger. And oh, Masterson takes good pictures in real life as well, so do check out her Instagram account.

2) Erin Cahill – Jen (Power Rangers Time Force)

She might be a model in real life, but Erin Cahill is not just a pretty face as she backed up her good looks with insane fighting skills. On top of being a Ranger from the future, Jen was also the leader of her group, which is rare in the series. She even schooled the Red Ranger in the beginning of Time Force, showcasing her badass attitude and letting everyone know that she’s someone not to mess around with. And if that’s not enough, her appearance in Wild Force to save the Red Rangers is just proof to show that she might be the strongest Pink Ranger of all time.

1) Amy Jo Johnson – Kimberly (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers)

Surprise, surprise! Amy Jo Johnson tops this list just because she is Amy Jo Johnson, and she plays the first ever Pink Ranger, Kimberly. Besides the obvious sense of nostalgia associated with this character, she made a strong impact with appearances in three seasons of Mighty Morphin and the original two feature films, along with a cameo in the recently released Power Rangers movie. Kimberly is also considered as the most popular female ranger in the franchise, who inspired plenty of young girls to emulate her cheerful personality, good fashion sense, and her skills in gymnastics. Not to mention all the boys who grew up watching Power Rangers had a crush on her too, including yours truly. With that said, you can’t deny that she has aged a bit over the years, but she’ll always be known as the hottest Pink Ranger.
