The Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Has Returned for A Second Season

The Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) is making its way back into Malaysia this year. The developer of Mobile Legends Moonton will be collaborating once again with eGG Network, the first 24/7 gaming channel in Southeast Asia, to bring you the second tournament of MPL.

With the tagline of ‘the Rise of the Legends’, MPL will begin with 3 online qualifiers starting 22 June to 8 July. Selected Open Qualifiers matches will be broadcasted through the Mobile Legends Facebook page along with all Regular Season matches leading towards the Grand Final. The winning team will stand the chance to bring home USD$25,000.

This time around, the 6 teams who make it through the Open Qualifiers will face-offs against 4 teams from the previous MPL Season 1. The confirmed returning teams for MPL Season 2 are last season’s champion Bigetron E-sports (formerly known as IDNS SG), Tyrants, AirAsia Saiyan, and Mystic Burden.

Compared to the last season, the Regular Season has been updated to a new format where 10 teams will play against another in round robin format in ‘best-of-3’ matches. The teams who prevail with a 2-0 score will win USD$600 while a 2-1 result will split the money, USD$400 and USD$200, between the two teams.

The registration of the first Open Qualifiers in Malaysia is now open from today until 19 June, while the Regular Season will kick off in August. So, gather your best Mobile Legends: Bang Bang members and sign up with the squads on the official website. For more information, check out the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Facebook page or visit the eGG Network’s official Facebook page.
