There's no doubt in mind that the e-Sports scene in Malaysia is growing, but this upcoming event is bound to play a significant role to date. The Kuala Lumpur Major is coming to signify Malaysia as the host for the first Dota 2 Major for the Dota Pro Circuit 2018/2019!

The Kuala Lumpur Major is set to take place at the Axiata Arena from 16 to 18 November 2018. As always our Ministry of Youth and Sports, Syed Saddiq, fully supports and back the event which is being held through a partnership between China's ImbaTV and local TV network eGG Network.

The event will see 16 international teams battling it out for the prize pool of USD1 million (roughly RM4 million). The qualifying rounds begin on 9 November 2018 and teams can come from anywhere in the world, including Europe and China. Sadly, qualifier rounds are not available to the public.

The winner of The Kuala Lumpur Major will take back US$350,000 (roughly RM1.4 million), but even those in 16th place will take US$10,000 (roughly RM41,000) home.

If you're keen to witness this, ticket prices are available within the range of RM180 to RM600 (see the image above for further details on the tickets). If you're an Astro and U-Mobile subscriber, you can get first priority to purchase the tickets as well as a 20% discount.

Currently only the U-Mobile pre-sale option is available, the Astro pre-sale will be available from 11 September, Early Bird from 17 September, and regular price tickets will be available from 1 October.
