By Kurtis Chan on Dec 9, 2017

The Game Award just happened today and we saw different games, gamers, and organization walked away with as winners of one or more awards. While some of us watched it to see if our favorite games were nominated or won an award, there are some who caught it live for the exclusive trailers and announcements made during the award ceremony's fourth year running. Here are 16 of the biggest announcements that were made during this year's The Game Awards.

PlayerUnknown's Battleground Version 1.0 release date and desert map gameplay premiere

After sharing their jaw-dropping achievement, the video showed a small clip of what to expect on the new desert map, and it looks like the PUBG team is putting in new vehicles for the map as well. Xbox players don't have to wait for too long as the Xbox Game Preview will begin on 12 December, while PC players can enjoy version 1.0 of the game on 20 December.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansion- The Champion's Ballad

This expansion for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild tells the story of Princess Zelda and the four champions- the Goron champion Daruk, the Rito champion Revali, the Zora champion Mipha, and the Gerudo champion Urbosa. Nintendo will also be releasing amiibo for four of these champions. The DLC is already available now. (P.S. Link is riding a motorbike!)

Soulcalibur 6

5 years of waiting is coming to an end soon as Bandai Namco has announced the next entry of the Soulcalibur series, Soulcalibur 6. There will be a new character and new mechanics might be implemented as seen in the video above.

Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch

Nintendo is porting both Bayonetta games into the Nintendo Switch. Looks like Bayonetta 2 will no longer be a Wii U exclusive any longer.

Bayonetta 3 is coming soon to Nintendo Switch

After announcing the porting of Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 to the Switch, Nintendo also dropped another bomb on Bayonetta fans by revealing the teaser trailer for Bayonetta 3 and it is set to be a Nintendo Switch exclusive.

Fortnite Battle Royale 50 vs 50

The new 50 v 50 team mode is only available for a limited time from now until December 17. Try this game mode out before it is gone indefinitely.

Vacation Simulator

Work hard, play hard. After working hard in Job Simulator, developer Owlchemy Labs is bringing fans to enjoy a day off in their latest VR game, Vacation Simulator. The game is set to be out for PlayStation VR, Oculus, and HTC Vive next year with no exact release date.

Death Stranding

A very bizarre and trippy one by Hideo Kojima and the first by Kojima Productions. There are so many questions to ask as this trailer definitely keeps fans guessing.

Metro Exodus

A brand new trailer after it's first reveal during E3 2017. Metro Exodus is scheduled to be released during Fall 2018.

World War Z

From novel, to movie, and now a video game, World War Z will definitely feature countless of zombies trying to rip your flesh off. The game is a four-player co-op action game and it will be coming to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.

Sea of Thieves release date

Mark this date: 20 March 2018.

Accounting+

William Pugh, and 'Rick and Morty' co-creator, Justin Roiland has confirmed that this VR title will be available on the 18th of this month.

FromSoftware's new project

Nothing much can be said about this project, I mean, it doesn't even have a name yet.

In The Valley of the Gods

Search for treasures around Egypt in Campo Santo Studio's second title, In The Valley of Gods.

Witchfire

The team who worked on The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is back with a fantasy shooter. Do not be fooled by the first half of the trailer as it may look like a walking simulator.

GTFO

Led by Payday and Payday 2 designers, the game looks rather interesting even though it is developed by an indie studio, 10 Chambers Collective.

There you have it, the 16 biggest announcements made at The Game Awards 2017! Which one or more of these trailers and announcements got you hyped up? Let us know!
