This classic remastered version is called Spyro: Reignited Trilogy that features these three games in the series: Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, Spyro: Year of the Dragon.

Those classic games were originally developed by Insomniac Games, the developer of upcoming Spider-Man, but the remastered version now is helmed by Activision’s subsidiary, Toys for Bob who once featured Spyro in one of their own games, the Skylander series.

In a press release, Activision stated that all levels of Spyro: Reignited Trilogy has been rejuvenated from ground up with “improved environments, updated controls, brand-new lighting and recreated cinematics.” Furthermore, the characters are “creatively re-imagined with additional flair” and the also game includes the “reimagined version” of composer Stewart Copeland’s soundtrack.
