With the existence of the live action Hollywood adaptation of Ghost in the Shell - which is currently showing in our cinemas, by the way - it feels like we've been seeing a lot more of Scarlett Johansson lately. Not a surprise, given that she's the main star of the film, playing the role of the cyborg-bodied Major, also known as Motoko Kusanagi in the manga and its anime adaptations.

While it would perhaps be more exciting for gamers if the Avengers star was in a major video game adaptation, the Ghost in the Shell red carpet premiere did result in Johansson revealing a fun video game-related fact about herself. Nothing major (pun intended), but a fun little tidbit nevertheless.

During an interview with Gerard Williams of Hot 97 FM, Scarlett Johansson was asked if she had a favourite video game. It's not the first time she's heard that question - last November, she responded to IGN (coincidentally during a Ghost in the Shell-related occasion as well) with the answer: "Er, probably Mario Kart."

When Williams posed the question to her however, she responded with "I like Street Fighter".

The change in answer isn't really shocking - tastes change, and perhaps it was Williams' mention of PlayStation and Xbox that invalidated Mario Kart. Anyway, it's good to know that an actress who has become a familiar face in action movies is a fan of a popular name in fighting games (i suppose fans are wondering which Street Fighter game exactly does she like) as well. Maybe one day we'll get a new Street Fighter adaptation from Hollywood and Johansson's name will be among the cast... would that be a good thing?
