Revving Up For Gamescom 2017

By Nicolas See Tho on Aug 21, 2017

Tomorrow, Gamescom 2017 will be starting off, and it is one of the biggest gaming conventions in the European region and it is where we will get all the latest game updates since E3. As always, Gamescom will be happening in Cologne, Germany, and this year, Gamescom 2017 might prove to be one of the more exciting presentations yet.

Here are some of the news regarding the presentations at Gamescom:

1.The Big 3: Microsoft, Nintendo and Xbox

This year, Microsoft will see it's usual presence in the show again, after their absence last year. We will msot likely be getting an updated look into Sea of Thieves and Forza Motorsport 7. Additionally, we might also get to see whats new on the Xbox One X, although we wouldn't get our hopes up too much on this particular product. This year, Sony would most likely not be showcasing any of their new wares, as they are habitually known to make their appearance kbnown at the Tokyo Game Show, with more detailed presentations on their latest titles. Nintendo however, will probably showwcase their new Super Mario Odyssey and Metroid Samus.

2. EA Games

EA is one of those publishers that doesn't shy away from spilling out their proverbial beans, as their bag seems to be limitless each year. This time around, we will be seeing the latest update on FIFA 18's Ultimate Team feature, Journey mode, and its port on the Nintendo Switch. Additionally, we will most likely be seeing other sport titles such as Madden, NFL and and NHL 2018. We would also be previewing more from Star Wars Battlefront 2 and it was expected to showcase space battles in Gamescom, so we are arguably hyped up for that. Let's not forget about content updates for Battlefield 1 and Need for Speed Payback.

3. Blizzard Entertainment

Blizzard always had a strong Gamescom presence and it will be no different this year as they release all the latest update from their well known totles such as World of Warcraft, Ocverwatch, Diablo and Starcraft. Set to be revealed are a new Overwatch animated short and brand new Overwatch map, a new Hearthstone Fireside Gathering feature that lets you form a Raid against the Lich King, a run through a dungeon from the new World of Warcraft patch 7.3, and then some hands-on time with a new Heroes of the Storm Hero, a new Starcraft 2 co-op commander and Starcraft Remastered, and finally some hands-on time with the Diablo 3 Rise of the Necromancer pack, as well.

4. Bethesda

This year at Gamescom, bethesda is most likely to reveal more about Wolfenstein 2: The New Collossus as well as more updates on The Evil Within 2 and the Dishonored 2 DLC "Death of the Outsider". Lets hope there will be more new trailers especially following that glorious Nazi-milkshake cinematic scene and trailers from The evil Within 2.

Gamescom 2017 will officially begin from August 22-August 26. Tune in to our daily updates as well as our upcoming roundup throughout the week.
