The first ever League of Legends Legacy Series and Arena of Valor (AOV) Valor Cup took place at Comic Fiesta 2017 and we witnessed Resurgence and Washed Up Mid overcame all odds to bring home their share of the combined prize pool worth more than RM100,000 for AOV and League of Legends respectively.

For League of Legends, Washed Up Mid (WUM) was crowned as the first Legacy Series champions after defeating fellow finalist, Nothing To Lose 2.0 (NTL) in the grand finals on Day 2 of Comic Fiesta. Both WUM and NTL earned themselves automatic qualification into the upcoming League of Legends Championship Malaysia (LCM) Promotional Series for a chance to be part of the first LCM season.

Resurgence, on the other hand, was crowned as the first AOV Valor Cup champions after defeating Penang Food (PNF) in the grand finals. The AOV Valor Cup is the first mobile MOBA tournament organized by publisher, Garena with a total prize pool of RM70,000. Resurgence went home with RM25,000 prize money in winnings and on top of that, they have also secured themselves a sweet six-month sponsorship deal with Malaysia telco giants, Digi Telecommunications that is worth RM12,000.
