We saw the remake of the famous mobile MMORPG entitled Ragnarok: Eternal Love with revamped 3D visuals with the same old monsters as well as character classes for modern smartphones in early July. Rather than just settle with one Ragnarok Online mobile game, how about another one?
In the midst of various announcements happening in ChinaJoy 2018 (including the release of Slam Dunk Mobile), China’s prominent game publisher Tencent Games revealed their biggest announcement. Tencent Games is trying their hands with their own version of Ragnarok Online called Ragnarok Online: Love at First Sight coming to mobile this year.
The development of Ragnarok Online: Love at First Sight marks the publisher’s partnership with Dream² and Huanle Entertainment. In case you didn’t know, Dream² is also responsible for the development of Ragnarok: Eternal Love. So, you might see some likeness between the two games in terms of the game’s graphics. You can watch the announcement trailer below:
As shown in the trailer, the upcoming Ragnarok Online mobile game will feature different controls this time, which looks similar to the MOBA game controls for modern action RPG settings. The mobile game will give players a full 3D view of your characters and classic features such as towns, class advancements, costumes, mounts, and more.
Another cool feature to look forward to is the addition of a weather system, day-and-night environment, climbing abilities, special encounters and they also include a Battle Royale mode with the 20-player PvP.
Although the in-game screenshots are in Chinese, we’re hoping that Tencent Games will opt for localisation for other countries such as Malaysia just like they did with PUBG Mobile. Ragnarok Online: Love at First Sight is set to launch on iOS and Android this year.
