Boss Key Productions has unveiled its latest early access battle royale mode, Radical Heights, today.
Following the formula of the battle royale genre with a new twist on the side, players will participate in a futuristic game show, inspired by the '80s, in a huge domed community of Southern California where money is everything.
Different from the first-person arena shooter genre of Lawbreakers, Radical Heights takes on a third-person view where you “partake in high-stakes gunplay as you loot for weapons, gadgets, cosmetics, and CASH!”
You’re still not getting the picture of “CASH!” in your mind? Check out the trailer below:
To make the money rain upon you, players have to shoot their way out by riding a BMX bicycle which you can accumulate cash by shooting up arcade machines, set off-shore accounts using ATMs or pinpoint the location of random spin wheels and prize doors.
Then you can save the cash you received in game and spend it to buy weapons, cosmetics and various upgrades for your next match.
There is always a risk on putting game on Early Access as it can either make or break the game. But launching it in Early Access allows Boss Key to “share those high level ideas with our community quickly” and work with the fans “to build Radical Heights into the ridiculous sandbox of fun.”
The game is set to be in Early Access for about a year and the full version is bound to feature new weapons, gadgets, customisation, vehicles, game show events, game modes, and a Daily/Weekly Challenges system.
Radical Heights is set to launch tomorrow for PC via Steam.
