Thanks to a leak by a voice actor, Android 17 will soon join the fight in Dragon Ball FighterZ, along with the nine confirmed characters like Future Trunks, Krillin, and Piccolo.
The English voice actor for Android 17 in Dragon Ball Z, Chuck Huber accidentally spilled unreleased information about the game and his own character he voiced. During the Florida Supercon, Huber was asked whether or not Android 17 will be appearing in Dragon Ball Super anime series, he gave out more information than he should have as caught by Shoryuken.
"I haven’t done Dragon Ball Super, but I have done my lines for FighterZ.” After being informed that 17 isn’t among the currently announced cast members, he responded with a simple, “Whoops,” and noted that he didn’t have to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) so he’s probably fine," as posted in Shoryuken.
With Future Trunks being one of the latest addition to the game, the Android characters in the anime series might also be joining in, especially Android 17 and Android 18 as they are all featured in the Android Saga.
The current character lineup for Dragon Ball FighterZ, including Android 17 is as follow:

So we will have to wait for future announcement by Bandai Namco to try out the game.
