Life is Strange Comic Series Coming Soon

By Intan Mawarni on Apr 2, 2018

Famous publisher Titan Comics is partnering with Life is Strange publisher, Square Enix, to release a four-part comic mini series which will be coming out this year.

In this comic series, the fans will get a chance to revisit its unique and important characters with fresh interesting stories and will be based on Arcadia Bay. The publisher even hinted out on the iconic landmark, the Blackwell Academy, where Max attended as a photography student will be served as a vital setting for the comics according to its press release via Gamespot.

So far, we are still not sure what kind of adventure will be featured in the comics since Titan Comics is still keeping the plot under wraps.

Developed by Dontnod Entertainment, Life is Strange is a popular episodic adventure game that received many favourable response in its close to heart storytelling.

This five episodic game is focused on 18-year-old Max Caulfield who has the power to rewind time in each choice which can lead to drastic changes in the ebb and flow of game’s plot.

As of May 2017, over 3 million players bought and enjoyed Life is Strange in which Dontnod Entertainment posted a thank-you video for the incredible support. In fact, the studio announced that they are currently gearing up for Life is Strange 2.

Adding to that excitement, the prequel called as Life is Strange: Before The Storm was announced in E3 2017 and developed by Deck Nine Games.

It follows the story of Chloe Price three years prior to the events of Life is Strange in three episodic parts. The last episode of Before The Storm, Hell is Empty was released on December last year.

For us, this comic series will be a great addition for the expanding lore of Life is Strange as the story can steer to secondary characters in Arcadia Bay rather than just the beloved characters such as Max and Chloe. This comic series could probably tell a story to bridge between Life is Strange and the sequel which is currently underway.

From what we’ve learned, Titan Comics is no stranger in publishing video games related comics such as Bloodborne and Assassin’s Creed Origins. So, we definitely have high hopes for this comic series!
