LEVEL UP KL 2017 will feature more than 40 speakers in the gaming industry around the world

LEVEL UP KL is back for 2017 and this year, the conference will be held at Connexion Convention and Exhibition Centre (CCEC), Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur, from 4th November to 9th November. This year's LEVEL UP KL will feature more than 40 highly experienced speakers in the gaming industry from all over the world.

LEVEL UP KL is an annual South East Asia Games Developers conference led by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), an agency under the Malaysian Ministry of Communication & Multimedia, with the mandate to develop the games and creative content industry. The goal of this conference is to provide a platform for the region and bring together the local, regional, and international community of games developers, publishers, and technology providers to gather, learn, and share the latest information on content development technologies and business trends in the industry.

Out of all the speakers who will be here at LEVEL UP KL, there will be three keynote speakers- Luis Cataldi from Epic Games and Unreal Engine, Danny Koo from Marvel Entertainment, and Wan Hazmer from Square Enix. Some other session and panel speakers who will also be present for the conference are David Lam from Bioware, Brian Recktenwald from Naughty Dog, Frank Sliwka from ESL Gaming, and Falk Au Yong from Sountrec Malaysia, just to name a few.

There will also be a Business Connection Program for visitors to come and meet the key platform companies, studio producers, technology companies, and publishers like PlayStation, Google Play, Naughty Dog, Square Enix, Riot Games, and more.

Besides that, Technical Workshops on Game Design by EA Motive, Concept Art by EA Motive, and Environment Design by Naughty Dog will take place on the third day of the conference, along with Partner Track by Unreal Engine, Unity, Google, and Amazon. Visitors can learn from the toolmakers themselves to level up skills and understand the tech and the ecosystem behind the ever-evolving game tech.

LEVEL UP KL 2017 will also celebrate the region's gaming industry by introducing the first Southeast Asia Game Jam and Southeast Asia Awards. Southeast Asia Game Jam is a gathering of SEA game developers community to create games within 36 hours. Winning teams will walk away with cash prizes and an opportunity for their ideas to be funded by Media Prima Labs. As for the Southeast Asia Awards, it showcases the best game finalist and an award ceremony will be held to reward titles in several different categories.
