Wan Hazmer was one of the game startups' representatives to present to KKMM on the vision and dreams for the local game industry.
Announced way back in November 2016, LEVEL UP Inc is “created to offer promising game developers and smaller studios with the necessary resources to kick-start their journey in the games industry. The aesthetically-pleasing facility is created for starting game makers, indie developers and small to medium games start-ups, with the aim of providing these budding talents with comprehensive support that will drive the local games creation market.”
YB Datuk Seri Dr. Salleh Said Keruak, Minister of Communications and Multimedia Ministry Malaysia (KKMM) officially 'unlocked' MDEC's LEVEL UP Inc.
Video games aside, during the visit, Datuk Seri Dr. Salleh met with representatives (including: Magnus Games Studio, NightMorning Studios, Metronomik Sdn Bhd, Game Taiko, 7th Beat Games, Weyrdworks Studio, Weraku Games, Pixels Tail and Kaigan Games) from MDEC including Datuk Yasmin Mahmood, Chief Executive Officer and Hasnul Hadi Samsudin, Vice President of the Creative Content and Technologies division, whereby both sides traded some views on Malaysia’s games industry development and how this emerging industry (with so much potential) alongside esports could farm positive revenue for the country.
