League of Legends: Finalists for GSA Championship and Malaysia JTR Team Roster Announced

An audition was held for the League of Legends team that will be representing the Malaysia in the upcoming ASUS Join The Republic: Community Challenge in Stockholm, Sweden, in conjunction with the Garena Student Alliance (GSA) Championship semi-fnals which was held during the past weekend on 12th November 2017 at The Pantheon. Eight players from four different college teams were shortlisted and only four players were selected to complete the team.

The semi-finals of GAS Championship saw Taylor's University Malaysia, Asia Pacific University, MMU Cyberjaya, and INTI International University and Colleges battling it out for a spot in the grand finals, where Taylor's University Malaysia and INTI International University successfully booked their places for it. The Grand Finals will be held on 18th November 2017 at Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), Bukit Jalil.

Kuala Lumpur Hunter's captain and ADC, Poon "OzoraVeki" Kok Sing was announced as the team captain for the Malaysia JTR League of Legends team. The remaining four players from the GSA Championship that were good and skillful enough to be handpicked by OzoraVeki are top laner itsDolan from INTI, jungler Proachy from INTI, mid laner TOX1C from Taylor's University, and support Sophiee from APU.

The newly formed JTR Malaysia League of Legends team will face off against international powerhouses such as South Korea, North America, Sweden, China, Spain, Taiwan, and Thailand. The ASUS Join The Republic: Community Challenge Global Finals will begin on 3rd January 2018 to 7th January 2018 at the Monster Energy Studios, Stockholm, Sweden.
