League of Legends Aatrox is not as good as people thinks after his changes

League of Legends Aatrox is one of the least picked champions and also a contender for the worst champion in the game. Riot Games recently made some changes to him in order for him to be on par with other champions, but it does not seem to be going their way.

Here are the changes to Aatrox in patch 7.5:

Passive - Blood Well

Blood Well: Aatrox fills his Blood Well through his abilities. When he reaches 100%, Blood Well begins to drain over 4 seconds, giving him Blood Rush for the Duration. Blood Rush: Aatrox gains 25% base attack damage and 20-50% attack speed depending on his level. Upon taking fatal damage, Aatrox will revive and recover 30% of his max health. Revive Cooldown: 225/200/175/150 (at levels 1/6/11/16) 180-120 seconds (at levels 1-18)   Q - Dark Flight Removed: Cost10% current health No cost Base Damage: 70/115/160/205/250 (+.6 bonus attack damage) 10/35/60/95/120 (+1.1 total attack damage) New: For The Blood God- Now fills 20% of Blood Well upon cast   W - Blood Thirst/Blood Price

Changes to Blood Thirst:

Heal: 20/25/30/35/40 (+0.25 bonus attack damage) 30/45/60/75/90 (+5% missing health) Removed: Bloodied- No longer triples the healing while below 50% health

Changes to Blood Price:

Removed: Cost 15/23.75/32.5/41.25/50 health No cost Damage: 60/95/130/165/200 (+1.0 bonus attack damage) 30/60/90/120/150 (+0.75 bonus attack damage) New: For The Blood God- Now fills 20% of Blood Well on proc   E - Blades of Torment Cost: 5% current health 30 health Damage: 75/110/145/180/215 (+0.6 AP) (+0.6 bonus attack damage) magic damage 70/110/150/190/230 (+.7 bonus attack damage) physical damage Slow Potency: 40% at all ranks 30/35/40/45/50% Slow Duration: 1.75/2/2.25/2.5/2.75 seconds 2 seconds at all ranks New: For The Blood God- Now fills 20% of Blood Well upon cast

The problem with Aatrox now is with his completely reworked passive, as it can only be activated during a short time frame of Blood Rush. Blood Well storage will slowly decrease whenever Aatrox is out of combat. If Aatrox is on the brink of death and does not have sufficient time to fill up his Blood Well to full before he is killed, he will not revive.

The League community has been saying that these changes will make Aatrox playable again due to his abilities' health cost reduction. However, little that they know his new passive works differently than before. He seems to be much easier to kill and his win rate decreased from 52% to 34%.

As these changes to Aatrox is just a temporary fix until Riot has plans for a larger update for him, hopefully his next major update will make Aatrox great again.
