Last weekend, the students of KDU's Games & Anime Youth Association in collaboration with the Anime Culture Club and Anime Support Krew organized the first-ever KDU GameSquare 2017 at KDU Glenmarie. The even on the 14th and 15th of October, open for all from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. The event aimed to promote all things G.A.M.E, which stands for games, anime, manga, and entertainment.

The event had it all, table-top games, fighting games, stage shows and more. We here at Gamehubs had a fun time duking it out ourselves on Street Fighter V. There were also booths selling doujins and artwork, a specialty board games showcase by Meeples and Tabletop Board-Game Designers of Malaysia (TTGDMY).

Cosplay enthusiasts also got themselves a treat with a workshop by Yee Hong and Exion, noted cosplayers in the country and also a panel of special guests Luffy and Silver from Hong Kong and Chinekko and Nikki Tan from Malaysia.

The main highlight of it all is, of course, the various special guests they had coming, including Starmarie, a notable pop-group from Japan who have performed the theme songs for such anime as Cardfight!! Vanguard G and Onigiri. Along with them were the band Fre-Vege who are also from Japan have performed in Malaysia before.

Overall, the event was a success and a testament to what young gamers and anime enthusiasts can achieve together. Follow them on Facebook to find out more and see some of the shenanigans that went on there. We hope to see this event happen again in full swing next year.
