Is Doomfist finally making his appearance in Overwatch?

It is about time a new hero is due in Overwatch and Blizzard has recently teased players with a new post regarding Doomfist and he may be the 25th playable character to make it into the game.

According to Times of Numbani, another fictional news outlet in the Overwatch Universe, it is confirmed that Talon were the ones responsible for taking Doomfist, but not in the way most initially thought was. "After recent events in Numbani, it can now be confirmed that what occurred was an attack by the Talon organization with the express purpose of freeing one man: Akande Ogundimu, better known as Doomfist," as reported by Times of Numbani.

Here is how Talon successfully helped with Doomfist's escape according to Times of Numbani: "It began in the early hours of the morning when an unidentified aircraft approached the facility. Security initially reported that the craft had no passengers on board, based on radar scans. The craft passed through the range of the installation's defense systems without incident, leading some to believe that Talon has moles within Helix. Video surveillance from within the compound revealed a black shadowy figure emerging from the craft and descending upon the prison grounds. The unidentified assailant easily overcame the Helix security agents, leaving over a dozen dead. Medical records of the casualties reveal injuries and cellular degeneration matching other incidents involving the mercenary known as the Reaper, all but confirming the incursion as a Talon attack. After escaping from the facility, Helix lost track of Ogundimu until he resurfaced in Numbani, where he clashed with the newly introduced OR15 defense robots at the Adawe International Terminal, easily destroying them and reclaiming the Doomfist."

The Adawe International Terminal and the OR15 defense bots in there was attacked and destroyed by an unknown character back in February, and the Overwatch community began speculating that Doomfist was responsible for this monstrous act. Till this day, the airport is still not fixed and the Doomfist Gauntlet is still missing from the payload at point A of Numbani.

Blizzard did not release a time and date for the imminent arrival of Doomfist, but he could very well be coming to Overwatch PTR by next week as Ana was released around the same time last year in the PTR.
