Conan Exiles puts a hilarious spin on the open-world survival genre when it went all out in character customization, offering players the option to customize their genitals with a dick slider and realistic physics on it. It was a comical moment, yet it was effective to make the game go viral. Funcom’s ambitious project was immediately profitable, which allows them to plan for future content to separate them from other similar games in the genre.

A Conan Exiles console release will be on its way after this latest achievement, and Funcom has assured its investors that they are committed to making the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version a success. It’s imperative for them to make sure that it’ll be a quality release, considering one of the fun factors won’t be featured in the Xbox One Version as Microsoft said no to dicks.

Xbox has been pretty clear with us that it's not going to fly,” said creative director Joel Bylos in an interview with Glixel. “It's just going to be off by default I think. I don't know if partial nudity might be OK. We haven't spoken to Xbox about breasts. They do allow breasts in some of their games, but the penises definitely won't be there.”

Conan Exiles will be available on Xbox One Game Preview later this year, with a full release on both consoles set in early 2018. The PC version will also come out of Early Access at around the same time.

It remains to be seen how Sony will handle the dick in Conan Exiles since they have stronger European ties than Microsoft, but we can safely assume that male genitals won’t be as trendy in Japan.
