Diablo 3 is known by many for its loot, its demons and its co-op experience (and auction house, until it closed down), but from this day on we shalt also recognize it for its hand in forging a union between Crusader and Demon Hunter not just in-game, but in the real world as well…

What makes the real world part more exciting is that the couple is from our neighbour, Singapore! What makes it doubly exciting is that the two - Alvin Lau and Alexis Loo - share the same initials. This is undoubtedly fate.

Their tale is pretty simple - Alvin the Crusader and Alexis the Demon Hunter met and partnered up in Diablo 3, became friends, became more than friends, and now they've partnered up in real life too. The following images are from the pre-wedding shoot rather than the actual union event itself, but it's still undoubtedly cool to see.

The shoot was done by Singaporean-based Mezame, who’s no stranger to combining reality with fantasy through photography and magic technology, with the collaboration of Neo Tokyo Project. Mezame has a New Year's post on his site about the interesting process, and apparently he even did some shots at Pantai Klebang in Malacca!

So, congratulations to the demon-slaying couple, and may they be ever blessed with good loot.

Ta, Kotaku.
