Grayson Chalmers On Creating Better Art Workflow

By Kurtis Chan on Nov 21, 2017

During our time at Level Up KL 2017, we managed to catch Grayson Chalmers to know more about art outsourcing. Grayson has been in the video games industry for 13 years working as an artist, a character animator, a producer, and is currently working to build and grow the outsourcing pipelines.

Before a game is created, a lot of creative processes has to be done before anything else. Most of the time a company will not have an adequate amount of workforce to complete all the pending artwork and the only viable option is to outsource it. Grayson Chalmers, the former Art Outsource Director at Riot Games (developers for League of Legends) sat down with us to educate us and our readers to further understand how does outsourcing work and how much help it has provided to numerous top game developers around the world.

Check out the interview video above to find out how he and his team helped create games like DC Universe, Overwatch, Army of Two, and more.
