Sony and Facebook have collaborated to create "A Call From the Wilds", a God of War text-adventure. You can jump right into it here.
In a tweet, Santa Monica Studio said that the text-adventure allows us to explore the Norse wilds as Atreus, Kratos' son, as we wait for the release of the actual God of War game in April.
As soon as I saw it, I jumped right into it. I love text-based adventures as much as actual RPGs and I love the God of War series. My heart couldn't stop thumping as every line of text popped up from the Messenger AI. You get a "glimpse" of Atreus' mother but still no clue as to who she may be. Starting off with an archery lesson, it quickly turns into a maze of trees as you discover Atreus' affinity for hearing spirits and curiosity quickly filled me to find out what those voices in his head are.
I'm not going to spoil the story for you, dear reader. It has about four chapter and lasts about 30 minutes depending on how slow you take it. Don't worry though, there's no time-sensitive actions here. So I highly recommend going through the adventure yourself, and do it slowly. There is no rush to adventure. Trust me, it is worth taking it slow.
