Gamers and anime lovers were united for the Game & Anime Expo (GAX) that was held last weekend at the lower ground level of Berjaya Times Square. The free two-day event was dedicated to many game competitions such as the MSI Grand League’s Overwatch and League of Legends, Dragon Nest M 1 PvP tournament and more. The attendees could also visit a number of incredible booth line-up of anime, games and art merchandises during the event.

MSI Gaming brought the famous esports competitions into the expo with the grand finals of Overwatch and League of Legends. The Neo Geo World Tour also made its sixth stop at GAX bringing cool retro Neo Geo games like the tournament of King of Fighters 98 & 14 and Metal Slug.

Aside from that, competitive mobile games were also a part of the event. 26 teams were on the run to compete for the coveted champion title of Garena’s Heroic Cup in mobile battle royale game Free Fire. Players of Dragon Nest M also showed off their skills in the 1 PvP tournament.

While fierce competitions were taking place on stage, there were several artist booths selling various anime and games goodies such as keychains, fanarts, posters and more. Not only that, the expo attracted cosplayers with guests of honour all the way from Taiwan: King TW and Misa Chiang.

As the proud sponsors of GAX, MSI and Lazada collaborated to bring amazing discounts for their gaming laptops and its components as well as gaming peripherals from Armaggeddon. You can enjoy up to RM200 off for the items by using the code MSI200GAX from 16 June to 1 July 2018. For more information, you can visit the promotion page here.

Although the venue is quite small, the energy from the crowd was larger than life. The expo was jam-packed with Anime, Cosplay and Games (ACG) action under one roof. All in all, congratulations to The GamePlan and co-organiser Comic Fiesta for the second Game & Anime Expo. Here’s for another Game & Anime Expo in the future!
