Garena has announced that they will be hosting the next International FIFA Online 3 Tournament in Bangkok, Thailand during their annual Garena Star League event in March. Dubbed as ‘The Intercontinentals’, the 1v1 tournament will feature players from all over Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia competing for a total prize pool of THB 1,000,000 (RM120, 000++). The tournament might also be featuring European FIFA players.

If you are interested in being the next big FIFA Online 3 player in representing Malaysia, you should join Garena’s Fantasy Cup – Road to Thailand, a qualifier that will be held from February 10 to March 4, 2017. The tournament will be in a 3-staged format, with each stage being 1v1 single or double elimination Bo3 (best of 3). A total of 64 competitors will have the opportunity to take on the best FIFA Online 3 players in the nation, which includes:

  • Previous Fantasy Cup champion(s)
  • Champion(s) from the current season (4th Season) of King of the Hill
  • Champions from our amateur tournament, Kaki Bola Clash Season 6 Round 1
  • Qualified players from proleague national tournament, National Championship Season 5
  • Players who register or walkin during the Open Qualifier stage on 10th February

Do note that the champion of Fantasy Cup – Road to Thailand will be given the chance to represent Malaysia, with travel expenses including flight, accommodation, and meals being sponsored by Garena during The Intercontinentals in Thailand. If for whatever reason you can’t make it this time, fret not as Garena will be hosting up to four international Fifa Online 3 tournaments annually. A Fantasy Cup event will be held prior to each tournament to choose a representative in Malaysia. You can find out more about the registration details for Fantasy Cup – Road to Thailand here.

As for local FIFA players who are still waiting for the unlikely event that there’ll be a huge tournament here, do check out why you should consider FIFA Online 3 as an alternate route to turn pro.
