Dragon Ball FighterZ will be available in February 2018 with a new trailer highlighting 6 new characters

Bandai Namco made an announcement regarding Dragon Ball FighterZ's release date, and it will be released in February, 2018. Besides that, 6 new characters were introduced that will be joining the game's roster.

As seen in the Dragon Ball FighterZ Gamescom trailer, the 6 new characters are:

  • Android 16

  • Android 18 (with Android 17)

  • Krillin
  • Piccolo

  • Super Saiyan Blue Goku
  • Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta

Both Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta can be unlocked earlier than the original schedule by pre-ordering the game. By doing so, you will also get early access to the open beta, as well as two exclusive lobby avatars. That is not all from the trailer as Bandai Namco also teased the story mode where it will tell a "Forbidden Story".

Furthermore, a Dragon Ball FighterZ "CollectorZ Edition" will be available, which will contain the following items:

  • Dragon Ball FighterZ game
  • 18cm Goku diorama with an exclusive “Manga Dimension” coloring
  • Three art boards
  • Exclusive SteelBook
  • A CollectorZ box to house all the items above

The closed bate for Dragon Ball FighterZ will be running from 16 September to 18 September. For PS$ and Xbox players who are interested in joining, you can register yourself in the Bandai Namco website
