Dawn of War 3 is coming this April and is offering skins as pre-order bonuses

Well, it seems that Dawn of War 3's release date is a lot nearer than I had anticipated. For gamers itching to lead their Space Marines/Eldar/Orks into battle in the third instalment of the RTS franchise, you only have to wait until April 28 to do so.

Pre-orders have already gone live, and pre-ordering through Steam will give you more goodies than doing so through the game's website. While both will give you a digital copy of the game as well as the Masters of War skin pack, pre-ordering on Steam will also give you Vehicle Skin Sets for Company of Heroes 2.

The former will grant you the Dark Queen Solaria, Ghost Seer Taldeer, and Big Kustom Morkanaut skins, which are meant for the Imperial Knight (Space Marines), Wraithknight (Eldar) and Morkanaut (Orks) units respectively. For the latter, the faction-specific skins are as follows:

  • Soviets - Blood Raven
  • Wehrmacht Ostheer - Bad Moons
  • Oberkommando West - Banshee
  • US Forces - Librarian
  • British Forces - Biel Tan.

Meanwhile, there are also different editions of the game that can be pre-ordered, but it seems that only the Standard Edition is available in Malaysia. But for details' sake, the Limited Edition of Dawn of War 3 will include the premium disc book, lenticular art card, and official soundtrack (digital edition). For more stuff, there's the Collector's Edition which comes with the Limited Edition's contents as well as three mounted cloth faction banners, the Masters of War skin pack, and a replica of the Godsplitter Daemon Hammer wielded by Gabriel Angelos of the Blood Raven Space Marines.

It's kinda sad that we won't be getting that hammer here, but at least we can save some cash. Dawn of War 3 is priced at RM115 on Steam.
