Blizzard's fans from around the world can rejoice and celebrate as Blizzard's yearly convention is finally here for all to enjoy. Though many of us don't have the chance to be there in person, we can be there through our computer screens with the Virtual Ticket, which is still available for purchase.
Starting this Friday, the festivities begin with an epic opening ceremony, with Blizzard unveiling exciting new developments on their games on three separate stages—the Mythic stage, the Overwatch Arena, and the Hearthstone stage, all pertaining their three biggest games out now, World of Warcraft, Overwatch, and Hearthstone. The best part is that you don't need a Virtual Ticket to enjoy this opening ceremony as it will be free for all to watch on Blizzcon's website.
Mike Morhaime, CEO, and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment had this to say: “The community is the heart of Blizzard’s games, and BlizzCon is our favorite way to connect directly with our players and geek out over the things we’re passionate about. We’ve worked hard to make this our biggest and best BlizzCon yet, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone this Friday.”
The weekend will also be host to final rounds of the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship, the highly-anticipated Overwatch World Cup, the StarCraft II World Championship Series, theHeroes of the Storm Global Championship Finals, and finally, the Hearthstone Inn-vitational play out. Titans of the eSports scene will take center stage, and new champions will be crowned this year. These events will also be free for all to stream on Blizzcon's website.
