CCP Games and PlayRaven come together for EVE Online on Mobile

By Dale Bashir on Oct 9, 2017

The space-faring, every growing, sci-fi MMORPG, EVE Online is reaching out to smaller screens in a brand new game only known as Project Aurora. Together with PlayRaven, the developers of EVE Online, CCP Games, will bring mobile gamers from across the world to rule the galaxy together.

CEO of CCP Games, Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, had this to say about the collaboration of these two companies:

“For years and years we have wanted to bring the EVE Universe to mobile devices in a way that is tailored to the platform and EVE fans. We wanted to find a partner who is passionate about EVE, has a track record of producing high quality and deep mobile games and is capable of creating completely new experiences on mobile. PlayRaven fit the bill perfectly,”

The game looks to be a shrunken down version of the standard EVE Online gameplay most people have become accustomed to. With players joining together to form major factions, taking over parts of the galaxy are all here for your smartphones. While it is not an extension of the MMO nor does it incorporate all of its functions fully, Project Aurora is its own game and the two are only sharing the universe the games are set in. Expect this game sometime in 2018.
