Blizzard recently made an official announcement of the Overwatch by releasing a video, no information pertaining the event was disclosed, until now. Last night, few different previews hit social media and it is creating a buzz amongst the Overwatch community. The most interesting thing is that all three of the previews are uploaded by three different Overwatch regions, namely Americas, Europe, Brazil and China.
Here's a sneak peek at three new ARENA MAPS coming soon to our Overwatch Anniversary celebration.— Overwatch (@OverwatchEU) May 18, 2017
The party begins May 23! 🎉🎂 pic.twitter.com/umXbr0bq7k
The sneak peek of not one, but three new Arena Maps was twitted by Overwatch Europe, and it looks like these three maps are designed based on existing maps like Dorado, Temple of Anubis and Eichenwalde. Currently there is only one Arena Map in the game, which is Ecopoint: Antarctica for 1v1 and 3v3 arcade game modes.
Seems like the up and coming emote trend will be dancing. The video only previewed us Sombra, Lucio, Symmetra and Zenyatta showing off their fancy dance moves. Zenyatta's dance emote has to be the best one, the way he controls and moves his balls orbs around is just simply amazing. Hopefully every character in Overwatch will have a dance emote, so that we can have a dance off while waiting to attack, instead of destroying every possible thing in spawn. It's not a party if there's no one dancing right?
A few of the voice lines can be heard in the video above that are coming to the event. Here are the voice lines in words as heard from the video:
The one thing that everyone wants for a event is new skins. As per the previous teasers released by Blizzard, only four skins were shown in the video and the four heroes that are confirmed for new skins are Bastion, Pharah, Soldier:76 and Zarya.
I am not impressed at all by these skins. Pharah has pointy shoes like a magician, Soldier:76 is wearing a bald cap or a swimming cap, or he went bald, Bastion looks like a recolored version of Steambot and Gearbot skins.
All of these items and more that are not shown are available for Overwatch players to unlock when the Overwatch Anniversary starts on May 23 to June 12. What are you most excited about for the Overwatch Anniversary event?
