Nintendo fans will soon be able to experience WWE 2K18 on the Nintendo Switch, coming this fall. Announced in a video on the official WWE 2K Youtube channel by the cover star himself, Seth Rollins, who mentions that he has been a Nintendo fan all his life. This is the first time a WWE video game has appeared on a Nintendo console in the past 5 years, with the last game to grace Nintendo's consoles was 2012's WWE '13 on the Nintendo Wii.

The game boasts brand new additions and improvements to the overall WWE formula, with most of them appearing on the Nintendo Switch version. New features such as the Creation Suite, which adds new improvements to the series staple Create-a-Superstar, Create-an-Arena, and Create-a-Video features while adding a brand new Create-a-Match feature, will be in the Nintendo Switch version. The full roster of wrestling Superstars and Divas will also be making their way to the Switch. Though with the Switch's much smaller capacity, features such as the new graphics engine or the Road To Glory mode, which pits players against each other, with their custom wrestlers, to qualify for one of WWE's pay-per-view event.

Overall, a mainline WWE game appearing on the Switch is a testament to Nintendo's success in the platform and the demand for more third-party titles on the system appears to be obliged by third-party companies such as 2K Sports. The game releases on October 17 2017 for the PS4 and XBox One, with the Nintendo Switch version appearing soon after that. Players who pre-order now will get Kurt Angle as a pre-order bonus, who surprisingly enough, hasn't been in a WWE game in 10 years, since WWE Smackdown VS Raw 2007 for the PS2 and XBox 360.
