In case you have been living in Timbuktu, Nintendo had announced something special back in January. That special something is the much-meme-about Nintendo Labo, “which is used to "combine the magic of Nintendo Switch with the fun of DIY creations."
Now, to get you up to speed on what the heck is a Nintendo Labo, do click the following links:
And if you wanna know what my fellow peer wanna say to Labo naysayers:
Now, are you on the same page (pun intended) as me, buddy? I’ll take your answer as a yes!
The Labo will be launched on April 20th 2018 with a starting price of USD69.99 (around RM273) and USD79.99 (around RM312). With such a hefty price tag, it’s a precious investment indeed. But for sceptics out there, there are certainly 5 other things you can spend on instead of buying the Labo.
Let’s be honest here, most of us aren’t wealthy folks who can simply splurge on fancy stuff. And most of us are actually struggling to get by every month so as humans, setting aside a monthly budget for food, necessities and groceries are important to ensure survival and filling our tummies. While a Labo can entertain you, it can’t fill your tummy, nor can it prevent hunger so there’s that. On a lighter note, how many McDee sets can we buy with USD69.99?
For a single Nintendo Labo set, you can actually buy a collection of Steam games. Furthermore, Steam sales is a regular occasion so if you can nab some sweet bargains, that would be ultra neat!
VIDEO GAME ART BOOKS!
Have you been eyeing that Bloodborne, Dishonored 2, Overwatch, The Evil Within or any other video games artbook? Lemme tell you this, if you can afford ‘em, do yourself a favour by getting ‘em as they are worth your money and a place on your bookshelf and in your heart.
Bet you didn’t see this coming eh? *Does the Dab*
But in all seriousness, compared to certain gaming mags, Edge Asia's price is pretty reasonable for the high-level quality content we are publishing on a monthly basis.
Feel free to ‘like’ Edge Asia’s Facebook page if you wanna be snoopy on it.
DON'T BUY, SAVE YOUR MONEY
I’m a fan of being realistic and being practical. So, be smart and save money especially for rainy days. Don’t be foolish by succumbing to peer pressure and hype. Money is precious so do spend them wisely. And we have brains so well... you get my point.
