This the season to be jolly! The holiday season is almost over but there is still some time left before we usher in a new year and a new semester at school. Instead of sitting around, shaking your legs and doing nothing at home, we have five games to recommend for you to play during the remaining days of your holiday.
1. Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition
If you have not dive into the beautiful world of Horizon Zero Dawn, now is the best time to do so. Sony and Guerilla Games have released the Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition, which consists of the original Horizon Zero Dawn and its latest DLC, The Frozen Wild. Follow Aloy in her adventure and explore a vibrant world rich with the beauty of nature – but inhabited by awe-inspiring, highly advanced machines.
2. South Park: The Fractured But Whole
This is your chance to play the game if you are home alone while you're parents are busy at work and no one is around to supervise you. You will be playing as New Kid, who has recently moved to South Park and becomes involved in an epic roleplay involving two rival superhero factions vying to create their own superhero media franchises. The superheroes' game unintentionally uncovers a conspiracy to raise crime in the town, bringing them into conflict with supervillains, genetically engineered monsters, the police, crime families, and the new kingpin of crime. If you have played mobile hit game, Clash Royale, then the game mechanics should be a breeze for you, assuming you are good at it. Selling at RM210 at the PlayStation Store, you will also be getting the prequel, South Park: The Stick of Truth for free. You can also purchase the game for PC on Steam for RM219 (Standard Edition).
3. Persona 5
With more than 100 hours of gameplay, you don't have to worry about finishing the game too quickly and continue your routine of boredom again. Follow the protagonist in a school year at Shujin Academy in Tokyo as he and other students awaken to their Persona abilities, become masked vigilantes known as the Phantom Thieves of Hearts and travel around the Metaverse world to steal ill intent from the hearts of adults.
4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
Fresh from winning Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2017 and with tons of positive reviews, The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The wild is definitely a game that you should play. BOTW is the first game in the series that embraces the open world concept. You will enter the game as the protagonist Link with very minimal instructions, and you can choose to explore the world at your own pace. The main story quests take approximately 40 to 50 hours to complete if you choose to ignore completing the journey across every corner of the world of Hyrule. If both main quests and side quests are completed and you still have much time before school starts, get the new DLC, The Champions' Ballad, and witness Link riding a motorcycle.
5. PlayerUnknown's Battleground
The game that turned the PC gaming scene upside down and inside out, PlayerUnknown's Battleground took the world by storm even though it is still in Steam Early Access. Up to one hundred players parachute onto an island and scavenge for weapons and equipment to kill others in order to be the last one standing and enjoy the sweet chicken dinner. PUBG has the most hours played (1,041,700,333 hours), it is the first game to have more than 1 billion total hours played in Steam, and it has the most peak concurrent players as well (2,949,950). Second place game, Dota 2 is not even close, with almost 700 million fewer hours played and more than 2 million fewer concurrent peak concurrent players compared to PUBG. The full version of the game will be available on 20 December this year and you don't want to miss out all the fun, especially getting the chicken dinner with a group of friends.
Not all games can be mentioned here as there are too many good ones to list down. If none of the games above are your cup of tea, then one of these games below might just be the one to accompany you during your remaining days of freedom before getting bombarded with homeworks and assignments.
These five games and more are on sale now at Gamers Hideout until the 1 January 2018, along with many other games. Check out their Facebook page for more offers from them. Happy gaming and happy holidays!
