Greetings fellow calvary, Overwatch had just introduced a number of changes and updates to the PTR! From the aforementioned pool of updates, there are four significant ones that you should take note of:
Hanzo’s Ability Reworking
Hanzo’s Scatter Arrow ability has been replaced with a new one called Storm Arrows. This ability allows Hanzo to ”rapidly fire up to 6 arrows that deal reduced damage but are always fired at full power”. Also, Hanzo’s Sonic Arrow ability’s cooldown has been decreased from 10 seconds to 6 seconds and its radius has also been decreased from 10 meters to 7 meters.
On top of that, Hanzo will have another new ability called Lunge. Players can now press ‘jump’ while in the air to leap horizontally.
Lucio’s Buffed Up
With the new update, Lucio can Wall Ride along a single surface with less interruption. This means that he can move around (inside and outside) corners without needing to leave the wall’s surface. Not to mention, Lucio can land back on the same wall after jumping away, “provided his jump takes him far enough away from the original jumping off point.” Also, when he activates his Ultimate aka Soundwave, ammo won’t be consumed.
Tracer’s Bomb Nerf
The maximum damage of Tracer’s Ultimate, the Pulse Bomb, has been decreased from 400 to 300. According to the developers, the reason behind this nerf was to “make it less powerful as a tank-destroyer.”
New Escort Map: Rialto
When Overwatch: Retribution was announced, Overwatch game director, Jeff Kaplan revealed that Rialto will be the next map available for Overwatch players. Here’s the official description of the map:
“Rialto was home to Talon agent Antonio Bartalotti’s sprawling estate and the backdrop to the infamous “Venice Incident,” a turning point for Overwatch and Talon. The Italian government has taken great steps to preserve Venice, and the results are striking. Tourists visiting this picturesque town can sample the regional cuisine, enjoy a relaxing gondola ride, visit Galleria D’arte Omnica, or simply take in the sights with a stroll along the canal.”
