2nd Vainglory World Championship to be Held in Singapore's Kallang Theatre

Mobile multiplayer online battle arena, Vainglory, is holding their 2nd World Championship in Singapore this December from the 14th to the 17th at the Kallang Theatre. Super Evil Megacorp, the creators of Vainglory, announced their plans for the World Championship yesterday. Singapore is a significant place for Super Evil Megacorp as it is the place where they launched the game back in 2013 and as such is seen as bringing the game back to where it all started.

Super Evil Megacorp CEO Kristian Segerstrale had this to say: "The 2017 Vainglory World Championship will not just be the pinnacle of our esports year; it will be arguably the biggest moment in Vainglory history. Live on stage in Singapore, we will globally unveil Vainglory 5v5 in an epic showmatch, coinciding with a major in-game update. This moment will show, once again, that Vainglory is the most uncompromising, unapologetically core MOBA on touchscreens — and a game pushing the very boundaries of the mobile platform."

12 teams will take center stage for the World Championships and so far, seven teams have been selected from across the globe. This includes Impunity from Singapore, Elite8 from Indonesia,  Hunters from China, Cloud9 from North America, Rox Armada and ACE Gaming from South Korea, and finally, DetonatioN Gaming from Japan who are also a wildcard pick. Five more Worlds spots will be won this Autumn season from China, North America, Europe, South America and a to-be-announced wildcard selection. The other five teams will come from the Autumn Season of Vainglory with four teams from North America, South America, Europe and China and another Wildcard pick.

The Vainglory World Championship will kick on December 14th to 17th, those interested can buy tickets to the event here or can catch the show on Vainglory's official Twitch channel.
